monday.com pricing for a ten-person request team

The seat price can leave out AI credits or hide an introductory discount. Compare the full checkout amount before choosing a plan.

Ten employees need to submit, assign, and close requests, and the subscription estimate looks like a seat price multiplied by ten. With monday.com pricing, check the full purchase breakdown before approving that number. The current work-management offer includes AI credit purchases for eligible new customers, and the displayed total can include an introductory discount.

Choose the lowest plan that supports the team’s required access and request workflow after counting its usage. Evaluate Pro if the work requires private boards, and confirm broader controls through the relevant offer if needed. Keep an existing tool when its permissions and upkeep are acceptable; a lower advertised seat rate alone does not price the work of moving.

Confirm the product and pricing model first

This article evaluates monday work management, also described as the monday AI work platform in its billing documentation. The vendor’s AI pricing explanation applies to customers who joined on or after May 6, 2026 and were offered seats with AI credits. It says the model does not apply to monday CRM, monday dev, or monday service.

That distinction matters for an existing account or a team evaluating a support desk. Confirm the product name, account eligibility, and billing terms in the actual offer. A familiar logo does not make the subscriptions interchangeable. Retain the purchase breakdown so the renewal can be compared with the terms you accepted.

Price the same ten employees for a full year

The official pricing page, checked October 27, 2026, displayed a ten-seat example with annual billing. The table reproduces the listed seat and minimum-credit arithmetic in USD, before tax, implementation, extra consumption, and third-party apps. The last column is twelve months at the displayed discounted amount, conditional on that offer applying for the full year.

PlanMonthly seat componentListed credit component per monthBefore discount per yearDisplayed offer annualized
Basic10 × $9 = $901,000 credits: $10($90 + $10) × 12 = $1,200($100 - $10) × 12 = $1,080
Standard10 × $12 = $1202,000 credits: $20($120 + $20) × 12 = $1,680($140 - $20) × 12 = $1,440
Pro10 × $19 = $1903,000 credits: $30($190 + $30) × 12 = $2,640($220 - $30) × 12 = $2,280

Confirm the discount duration and renewal amount before using the final column as the annual budget. The pre-discount column shows the arithmetic without that promotion; it is not a promised renewal price. Enterprise requires a quote, and none of these calculations includes a negotiated agreement or extra usage purchases.

For an adjacent work-tracking option, Smartsheet pricing covers its membership and subscription questions. Keep the same ten participants and required actions in both estimates. A read-only person in one calculation should not become an editor in the other without explaining why.

The next employee can change the purchased seat group

monday.com’s plan documentation describes a minimum of three paid seats, followed by groups of five. A ten-person team fits the ten-seat group, while eleven paid participants require the next applicable group. Ask for the actual checkout total after changing the roster rather than adding one seat’s headline rate to the old bill.

Include the account owner if they need paid access, and check whether anyone invited later changes the purchased group. Keep a roster beside the budget with each person’s intended actions. Do not classify an employee as an outside guest to make the estimate smaller; confirm the vendor’s user-category rules and the access required by the work.

Request the timing and proration terms for changes during the contract. Hiring a person, removing their access, and reducing a purchased seat group are separate events in a budgeting review. Have the billing owner record which changes affect the current invoice and which take effect at renewal.

Keep AI credits separate from ordinary workflow usage

The AI pricing model says eligible customers purchase both seats and credits. It also allows a higher credit bucket without changing the seat count. That means a team can stay at ten people while its usage budget changes. Do not treat the introductory discount as evidence that credits are permanently free.

List the recurring actions behind a request: assigning an owner, notifying them, updating a connected record, and using AI to interpret text if that is part of the workflow. Identify which allowance each configured action consumes. A request count alone does not tell you the usage total when several actions run for one request or repeat after an edit.

Start with a representative sample and record consumption in the account’s usage controls. Include a request that gets reassigned and one that needs another review. These are proposed measurements, not test results from this article. Use what the account reports to estimate the monthly workload, then check the behavior and purchase options when an allowance is reached.

Choose the plan around the requests people may see

For a shared queue with no confidential items, begin by checking whether Basic supplies the required workflow. When routing or integrations are needed, compare the applicable allowances before choosing Standard. If some requests must stay within an invited group, monday.com documents private boards on Pro and Enterprise. A higher plan should correspond to a requirement you can demonstrate.

Build a fictional request board with a request ID, submitting team, owner, status, due date, and supporting file. Put a confidential request in the proposed restricted location. The expected output is an assigned work list and a completed request with its evidence, while someone outside the invited group cannot open the confidential request.

Run the task as the owner and as a separate employee with narrower access. Check dashboard links, attachments, searches, and direct board links, then repeat after removing access. The private-board documentation also notes that administrators can access private-board data through an account export. Include that administrative access in the design instead of treating a private board as hidden from every account-level operation.

If your decision also concerns the way data is structured, Airtable vs monday.com covers that comparison. The subscription choice here depends on the request workflow and its controls, so avoid moving to a broader plan before checking whether the app design itself meets the requirement.

Inspect an export before retiring the old request tracker

monday.com documents board-level Excel exports and an administrator’s account export in its export instructions. Produce a sample and inspect the records, files, and fields your team needs. A spreadsheet that opens is not evidence that the destination reproduces the workflow, comments, or permission setup.

Preserve request identifiers, rebuild automation rules, reconnect integrations, and recreate access in the destination. Compare the unresolved queue and inspect a completed request with its supporting file. Agree on an acceptance owner and rollback period before changing the intake process. Include that work and any overlap between subscriptions in the first-year estimate.

Where Permute fits: explaining a request status across sources

Permute is the connected business data and custom application software we sell, so our interest in this evaluation is commercial. We can help reconcile a permitted request export with related operational records while retaining source evidence. A request marked complete and an accounting record still awaiting payment may describe different stages of the same job.

We can apply your declared definitions to a repeatable report or custom app. An operations owner can inspect which source and status rule produced the answer, subject to access permissions. The request board can remain useful while the cross-source report makes those different stages explicit.

Define the status used in the report
Recorded states
Request complete; payment pending
Declared meaning
Operational completion and payment tracked separately
Retain the source state so the report does not treat distinct business events as equivalent.

Inspect the data behind a request report

Start with permitted source records and review how their status definitions differ.

Keep the connection and delivery scope explicit

We do not sell monday.com subscriptions or promise a native monday.com connector. Source access, data movement, and any permitted actions need a scoped implementation. Enterprise app development covers that planning when the request workflow depends on shared business data.

Approve the complete offer for the working request flow

Price the ten-person team with the correct product, seat group, and credit offer. Keep the introductory discount separate from the amount before discount and verify renewal terms. Select the plan after the request and access checks demonstrate which capabilities are required. Add migration and usage costs before comparing that result with the tracker you already have.

Scope the reporting work around the queue

Bring the request board and a related source to discuss definitions, evidence, and implementation responsibilities.

Questions about monday.com seats and credits

Can the team skip AI credits if it only wants a request board?

The documented model requires credits alongside seats for the eligible new customers it describes. Confirm whether that offer applies to your account and product. Not planning to use AI does not by itself establish an exemption from the purchase terms.

Can we add an eleventh employee for one seat’s price?

The documented pricing uses seat groups rather than individual additions at every team size. Check the next group and its checkout amount when the eleventh person needs paid access. Confirm when the charge applies and how it is prorated.

Are the discounted annual figures guaranteed at renewal?

No renewal guarantee was verified for the displayed introductory offer. Ask for the discount period and renewal terms in writing. The pre-discount arithmetic in the table is a comparison reference, not a promised future invoice.

Can an administrator access private-board data?

The vendor documents administrative access through the account export. Private-board visibility and account-level export rights need separate consideration. Include both in the review before placing confidential requests on the board.
