Connect Google Ads to Permute

Sync Google Ads account data, performance, and reporting breakdowns.

The first sync includes all available tables.

After it finishes, use Select manually to limit later syncs.

Before you start

  • A Google account with access to the advertisers you want to import.

1. Add Google Ads in Permute

In your workspace, open Connectors, select Add Connector, choose Google Ads, and name the account.

2. Authorize Google Ads

  1. Select Connect with OAuth.
  2. Sign in with the Google account used for Google Ads and grant access.

Use the Google account that can see the advertisers you want in Permute. Google Ads access follows that account’s direct advertiser access and its manager-account links. You do not enter a developer token in the Permute setup screen; its Connect action starts Google OAuth.

If your team has more than one Google identity, check which account is signed in before approving access. A successful OAuth connection cannot read an advertiser the chosen identity cannot access.

Review advertiser coverage

Permute’s setup screen says it imports all advertisers available to the authorized Google account, including those under manager accounts. It also says advertisers granted later join future syncs. Review that account’s manager links when you want to change which advertisers appear.

The first sync starts with all available tables. After it completes, open the connector and choose Select manually if you want fewer tables in later syncs.

3. Check the first result

  1. List the advertisers visible to the Google identity used for OAuth.
  2. Choose one advertiser and compare an available report after the first sync.

Check new advertiser access

An advertiser linked to a manager account becomes reachable only when the signed-in identity has access through that manager. Google Ads also allows direct advertiser access. These paths can yield different account lists for two Google identities in the same company.

The setup screen says newly accessible advertisers join later syncs. If a new one has not appeared, confirm the authorized identity can open it in Google Ads, then allow for a later sync. A Permute table choice cannot grant advertiser access.

Separate accounts from reporting tables

The first sync starts with all available Google Ads tables. After it completes, the setup screen allows Select manually for later syncs. That table choice controls which data is refreshed; the Google identity and account links control which advertisers can be reached.

When investigating a gap, name the advertiser and the report group separately. If every group for one advertiser is absent, review Google Ads account access. If one group is absent across advertisers, review the table choice and the source reporting data.
