It covers one-to-one conversations with standard phone numbers. Group and anonymous conversations are excluded.
Before you start
- An active Quo subscription and workspace owner or admin access to create an API key.
1. Open Quo API settings
In Quo, open Settings → API.
2. Generate the key
Generate an API key for Permute and copy it.
Create a named key
A Quo workspace owner or admin opens Workspace Settings → API and selects Generate API key. Give the key a descriptive label, such as Permute. Quo does not allow spaces in key names.
Copy the key into Permute’s API Key field. The setup screen asks for an active Quo subscription and owner or admin access to create it.
Protect and rotate the key
Quo says an API key carries the privileges of its account and grants full API access. Keep it private. If it is exposed or no longer needed, delete it in Workspace Settings → API, then create a replacement for Permute.
Deleting one key immediately stops only the integrations that use that key. Other keys continue to work.
3. Add Quo in Permute
In your workspace, open Connectors, select Add Connector, choose Quo, and name the account.
Under Sync which data?, choose an option:

- Paste the key into API Key and select Connect.
4. Choose tables (manual selection)
If you chose Select manually, open the connector after connecting. Use the checkboxes to select at least one table, then select Save selection.
5. Check the first result
- Choose a contact or an eligible one-to-one call in the Quo workspace.
- Check the call’s phone-number type before comparing the daily-refreshed history.

Know which calls are in scope
The Permute setup screen limits call history to one-to-one conversations using standard phone numbers. Group conversations and anonymous calls are excluded. It also names contacts and conversations as data groups and says the connector refreshes daily by default.
For a missing call, check whether it was one-to-one and had a standard number before inspecting the key. A call outside this scope will remain absent even when contacts and other conversations sync. Use a recent eligible call as your first comparison.

Use a separate key for Permute
Quo lets owners and admins create labeled API keys. A distinct key named for Permute makes it easier to find and revoke this one connection without stopping other tools. Quo says deleting a key only affects integrations using that key.
Each key carries full API access and the privileges of its Quo account. Keep it private even though Permute only reads the data described in its setup screen.
